Dr. Matthew Franz is a San Antonio native with a lifelong passion for athletics, performance, and helping others stay active. He attended Reagan High School, where he competed in football, basketball, and track before continuing his football career in Abilene. After a series of injuries dating back to high school, he ultimately stepped away from the game—an experience that would later shape his path into healthcare.

Dr. Franz completed his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University, earning a Bachelor’s in Nutrition, Health, and Wellness. He then pursued his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Parker University in Dallas, where he further developed his passion for performance-based care and rehabilitation.

Having personally benefited from chiropractic care throughout his athletic career, Dr. Franz is dedicated to helping patients of all ages stay active, recover from injury, and perform at their highest level. His approach focuses on restoring movement, improving function, and preventing future setbacks.

While at Parker University, he was actively involved in organizations such as Rehab 2 Performance and the Motion Palpation Institute, expanding his skills in both manual therapy and movement-based treatment.

After graduation, Dr. Franz moved to Florida, where he had the opportunity to serve as a chiropractor for the University of Florida football team. During his time there, he also treated Olympic and professional athletes, gaining valuable experience working with high-level performers. He has since returned home to San Antonio and is proud to serve his local community.

Dr. Franz is a board-certified sports chiropractor (CCSP) through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, reflecting his commitment to continued learning and excellence in sports care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Franz enjoys spending time with his wife, Macartney, and their daughter, Evie. In his free time, you’ll find him working out, golfing, or enjoying great food with family and friends.
